Revelation in Phoenix, AZ

May 10th, 2009

Revelation was an absolutely mind blowingly amazing super spectacular party. Great crowd, great set up, and start to finish good music. I adore phoenix and want to move there now hahaha. Thanks to everyone who came out to this incredible party. I gotta say on a personal note, this was one of the few times I felt extremely pleased with my performance walking off the decks. Couldn’t have asked for a better time!

Candyball Review

November 3rd, 2008

Candyball was nothing short of amazing. From the time I walked in the door to the time I left there was an energy that filled the party. This show ranks in my top 5 to date easily. There’s really no way to put the experience into words so I’ll let the pictures and video do the talking. There’s also a few from my stroll around the city over the weekend!

WEMF 2008 Review

July 21st, 2008

WEMF 2008 was nothing short of amazing.  Despite copious amounts of driving and some ridiculous traffic, it proved well worth the time and frustrations.  Met up with Mr. Orbit1, Sc@r, Uplift, and the Goodfellaz on Thursday night in Toronto for some food and beverage before taking off for WEMF the next day.  I was lucky enough to snag a sneak preview of some of the work Orbit1, Inverse, Al Storm and a few more have been doing and they just keep getting better at it… incredible! WEMF itself was picturesque, located in the Middle of Nowhere, Ontario (better known as Madawaska).  There were no bears, but there were plenty of ravers having it all night long.  Amazing stage set up and layout of the festival as a whole.  I for one am sad that there will no longer be a WEMF, but I’m definitely looking forward to the Cutting Edge Music Festival they are beginning to put together.  Here are a handful of shots from the hotel and video from WEMF in the wee hours of Sunday morning after my set!

Rava Flav + Phoenix Review

July 16th, 2008

Well this was my second trip out to Phoenix and as expected it just got better. I arrived Friday afternoon and got picked up by the lovely CJ and ran around Phoenix a bit before meeting up with Starr, Sparrow, and Doughboy for some food and drinks (mostly drinks). That night we popped off to the desert for a party called Sesame Beats. Amazing party but the heat and humidity (yes, it was ridiculously humid in the desert - monsoons I was told?) definitely held it back. After a blown tire on the way back to Rize’s place we called it a night! Saturday we hooked up with Caffeine and hit the party around 10 – super soakers in hand. The turnout was stellar and after some time slot juggling ended up rocking out on the main stage till close! These kids go hard and they just wouldn’t leave – even after spraying them repeatedly with water guns hahaha! Amazing party and Lexi did an amazing job putting it together and running the show! Oh, and happy birthday hun! Sunday was spent relaxing in some swank vacation home and I unfortunately had to go home come Monday. Amazing time as usual. Big big big thanks to James Rize for putting me up and Lexi for bringing me out!

Here’s some pics and vid, you can find some candids in my youtube account!

Bounce(d) 2 Toronto!

April 15th, 2008

Oh, Toronto - how I missed you. Bounce 2 was pretty awesome. I think it’s fair to say the Toronto scene has been slow (at best) for the last couple years but the Braincell boys have cooked up a new bimonthly hardcore party that’s turning out the numbers. Virus and I played for a nicely packed room and the crowd seemed to be enjoying the new stuff. I don’t recall Toronto being terribly up to date with new hardcore and always lovin’ the oldish cheese and vocal bangers. Quality event, and it was great to see all the crew out again! As always, it was a pleasure to throw down with Virus. I still have a hard time believing that I get to headline with him after looking up to him for so many years when I was an up and comer. He’s helped me out a ton and I owe him! Tyco and Scoots with MC END tore it up too! B’oh! Video and pics below!
