North American Hardcore Kickline

Well I’m kicking myself for not bringing my camera. The party itself was actually across the river in a church in Quebec overlooking an industrial district. Gorgeous night out and some pretty awesome views! The party itself was banging with a great sound set up and kids just begging for hardcore. Mr. Virus and I stepped up and delivered after birthday boy Crash Override was serenaded by the crowd. Good times for sure! I was even able to talk a stroll around the city (again, I wish I remembered the camera) which is rare. All in all a good time - thanks Ottawa!

WEMF 2008 was nothing short of amazing. Despite copious amounts of driving and some ridiculous traffic, it proved well worth the time and frustrations. Met up with Mr. Orbit1, Sc@r, Uplift, and the Goodfellaz on Thursday night in Toronto for some food and beverage before taking off for WEMF the next day. I was lucky enough to snag a sneak preview of some of the work Orbit1, Inverse, Al Storm and a few more have been doing and they just keep getting better at it… incredible! WEMF itself was picturesque, located in the Middle of Nowhere, Ontario (better known as Madawaska). There were no bears, but there were plenty of ravers having it all night long. Amazing stage set up and layout of the festival as a whole. I for one am sad that there will no longer be a WEMF, but I’m definitely looking forward to the Cutting Edge Music Festival they are beginning to put together. Here are a handful of shots from the hotel and video from WEMF in the wee hours of Sunday morning after my set!
Well this was my second trip out to Phoenix and as expected it just got better. I arrived Friday afternoon and got picked up by the lovely CJ and ran around Phoenix a bit before meeting up with Starr, Sparrow, and Doughboy for some food and drinks (mostly drinks). That night we popped off to the desert for a party called Sesame Beats. Amazing party but the heat and humidity (yes, it was ridiculously humid in the desert - monsoons I was told?) definitely held it back. After a blown tire on the way back to Rize’s place we called it a night! Saturday we hooked up with Caffeine and hit the party around 10 – super soakers in hand. The turnout was stellar and after some time slot juggling ended up rocking out on the main stage till close! These kids go hard and they just wouldn’t leave – even after spraying them repeatedly with water guns hahaha! Amazing party and Lexi did an amazing job putting it together and running the show! Oh, and happy birthday hun! Sunday was spent relaxing in some swank vacation home and I unfortunately had to go home come Monday. Amazing time as usual. Big big big thanks to James Rize for putting me up and Lexi for bringing me out!
